Signs That Spring Has Arrived

As the clocks go forward an hour at the end of March, we may grumble about losing that extra hour in bed, but it is also a sure sign that spring is on its way. Those who are lucky enough to be driving around and about doing courier jobs at this time of year are fortunate in being able to see the signs of springtime all around them. Here are some of the best signs of spring that you'll see on the road.

Lambing Season

One of the most exciting parts of spring is lambing season. Anyone that ventures into the countryside on courier jobs is bound to pass by fields just bursting with new born lambs. If you're lucky you might get to see them as they struggle to their feet for the very first time, and then see them topple over again. Those that are already a couple of weeks old will have become boisterous and will be running around the field as fast as their little legs can carry them, as their mothers stand by and watch. There's something undeniably satisfying about seeing the new season personified within these little lambs.

Daffodils

The first sign of springtime, daffodils can brighten up anyone's day. Roadsides and roundabouts become littered with yellow as they spring up just in time for St. David's Day at the beginning of March. Whether your courier jobs take you to Wales or not, one of their national emblems, the daffodil, can be enjoyed whatever route you take. See them as you drive along, or perhaps stop and pick up a bunch to brighten up your house. However you enjoy daffodils, the vivid yellow colour at the side of the road is enough to bring a smile to anyone's face, and a sure sign that spring has arrived.

Easter Eggs

All through the winter months and the Christmas season, the service stations and cafes where you stop whilst you're doing courier jobs will have been filled with seasonal fare such as mince pies and Christmas puds. As spring arrives, so do the next seasonal foods, and this time in the form of Easter eggs. Whether you enjoy dreaming up new ways of eating a Cadburys Cream Egg, or prefer to snack on a Lindt golden bunny, the shelves are full of Easter delights for you to choose from.

Daylight

One of the main reasons that people get a spring in their step in springtime is the longer days and the lighter evenings. Those working in offices can leave before darkness falls, whilst those doing courier jobs can be home while it is still light, rather than having to deal with the glare of headlights day in day out. Everyone seems to be just that little happier when the daylight hours lengthen.

After the long and cold winter, it is always exciting to see a sign that spring is breaking through. Those driving around the country doing courier jobs are in the perfect position to see spring arrive; from the animals in the fields to the flowers by the side of the road, you'll be the first to know that the season has changed.

Employing a Freelance Writer Is the Way Forward

For a many people, the internet all too often ends up as being a place of great disappointment. Not to the everyday surfer of course. To them it's a ceaseless marvel. A place where they can roam at will, seeking out pieces of information, or finding that great deal that they have been searching for. But for the wannabe internet entrepreneur, whose aim is to launch a website that will one day make his or her fortune, it's quite a different story.

The latest batch of statistics suggests, (it's not an exact science by the way), that there are currently approximately 612 million websites live out there in cyberspace today. But in terms of activity; only 185 million are active. That means a mammoth 472 million websites are inactive - or, put another way - 69% are not performing. What's the reason for this? Well there are several reasons.

The Domain Name Game

The first reason is what I call the Domain Name Game. When the internet began to really take off, (remember the dot.com revolution that started back in 1995?), many companies (the larger organisations such a the guys who make coke, and Nike people in particular) decided to register all of the possible variations of their company name. This was to prevent anybody else "queering" their pitch. So, dot.com, dot.net, dot.org etc all got bought up, many never to be used.

Corner the Market.com

The second reason was that many people saw a possible opportunity for a great domain name that one day, someone would want to buy. So these guys invented and bought those names, believing that one day they would be in great demand and they could make a killing. Most, of course, turned out to be no more than costly red herrings.

Unfortunately there are no statistics for either variety, which means that the third reason, although very real, and undoubtedly, a very large proportion of the 472 million redundant websites, cannot be quantified.

Lack of Knowledge & Internet Savvy

This third reason is what I term lack of internet knowledge and savvy. My guess is that this category this would account for well over 70% of the 472 million - over 330 million inactive websites.

Now when I say lack of knowledge or savvy, I'm not talking about technical knowledge; things like building your own website. What I'm talking about is driving visitors to your website. The bottom line is that if no one knows that your website is there, how can they visit it? You might have the greatest product, service offer, or piece of information ever. But if no one knows about it, they're never going to find out about it.

Employing a Freelance Writer

One of the best ways of arousing interest is to post articles and blogs where interested people can find them. But the thing is that many people are either not very good at writing, or they simply can't be bothered to make the effort. Either way, the end result is the same; their websites fester and die.

The alternative is to employ a freelance writer. You'll find their fees very reasonable, particularly when you weigh them up against the benefit. You'll be able to get a 500 word article for under $10 or $20 if you use a top class freelancer. Whatever you do, don't scrimp. There are lots of freelance writers that herald from the third world, and they charge silly prices like $2 an article. But remember, you get what you pay for. At $2, it is likely to be in poor English, unoriginal, and under researched. It won't do the job you hope it will. It's like anything in life - you get what you pay for!

Prearranged Funeral Plans: Caring for Your Love Ones Until the Very End

Thinking about our deaths is not something we typically do. We tend to live life as we go. But we have to admit that one day our life will end and we will be leaving people we care about when that happen. With this knowledge it would be best to have everything ready once we reach the end of our earthly journey. This is when we consider having prearranged funeral plans to relieve our love ones of the task of contacting a funeral home, buying the casket and what cemetery we are going to be buried.

Consider only what you need. These would be where you want your funeral to be held, your home or a funeral parlor, the casket or coffin and your burial place. There are several funeral plans are offered that will cover the casket and funeral service like the venue and the funeral car. For burial sites you can contact the cemetery of your choice to inquire on the price of their available lots. There are several cemeteries that also offer larger lots and mausoleums for a family burial site. But consider your budget. Large mausoleums are expensive so consider them carefully.

There is also the cremation service. If you wish to be in ashes and kept in a family urn then you can prepare for a cremation service. With this option you will be discarding the casket for an ash urn. Finding a funeral parlor to conduct the cremation is not much of a problem as most of them offer cremation as one of their services. You will not need a burial site as well. That means that a cremation could be a more cost effective choice for a prearranged funeral.

You may also want to consider setting aside funds for your funeral where there will be friends who would come and mourn with your family. Take note of everything. The goal is basically to have funds enough to cover funeral expenses leaving no more financial worries and burden behind for your love ones to handle. Another benefit for doing prearranged funeral plans is that you get to pay for future funeral expenses in their prices today. Cemetery lots are still real estates, so expect the prices to go up as years go by. The same can be said to the prices of the funeral services and coffins. Getting them several decades later could mean that you will have to pay twice more for them compared to this year or the next. So it is really advisable and sound to have prearranged funeral plans early on.

Sanctions on Iran! An Example of Revelation of the Three Unclean Spirits Like Frogs

Jesus said at Luke 4:24 Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country." Surely I will not be accepted here in America, the country I love. Nevertheless, Jesus has called me to this office as one of His prophets. At Revelation 16:15 Jesus says: "Behold, I come as a thief:Bless is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked; and they see his shame."

Surely, there are many who profess to be pastors who are naked and some are fast asleep. Nevertheless, they are tasked to feed the flock of the Living God. Many do not believe that God has prophets today and some try to do it all. This is a very sad commentary because many do not understand the Book of Revelation and are not properly feeding the saints of the living God. This is a very serious problem because we are on the path of destruction and it is happening today before our eyes, however there are many who are blind and cannot see. The imposed sanctions on Iran are a good example of what happens when the watchmen are asleep or cut off. Did you know these sanctions are designed to help bring about the battle of Armageddon? Let us see how this is happening today.

Revelation 16:13- 16 says, "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into the place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

Listen carefully. This is what is occurring today, like frogs, messengers are carrying messages from the mouth of the dragon, from the mouth of the beast, and the from mouth of the false prophet unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world. We must understand unfortunately, in the United States of America, today, we are using the Secretary of State to this end, when the Secretary moves from nation to nation like a frog. As the Secretary of State is being used to this end, representatives from other nations also carry messages from the mouth of dragon, and the mouth of beast, and the mouth of the false prophet. It is imperative that we understand this is designed to bring about the battle of Armageddon.

To do what is right and that which is pleasing in the sight of God we must know His word and recognize when messages are coming from the mouth of the dragon, the mouth of the beast, or the mouth of the false prophet. Let us examine several messages.

(1) Is the doctrine of preemptive approach to war, God's approach? Or is the doctrine of preemptive approach to war from the mouth of the dragon? This is what the word of God says, "At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; if that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; if it do evil in my sight, that obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them." (Jeremiah 18:7-10) It is clear that the preemptive approach is not the way of the Lord, however it is a message from the mouth of the dragon.

Doctrine of unjust sanctions on nations - Sanctions have been placed on North Korea and Cuba because of their forms of government. Two of theconsequences of these sanctions on North Korea; many people have starved and recently there have been reports of cannibalism in North Korea. The act of controlling people through these sanctions are words from the mouth of the beast. Effecting this doctrine lends to the state when people cannot buy or sell without the mark of the beast. Now the United States has placed sanctions on Iran to try to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons; however countries all around Iran have nuclear weapons. These words to impose sanctions on Iran come directly from the mouth of the beast - thus the spirits of devils are carrying it from one kingdom to the next like frogs. It is imperative that our leaders understand this. First the Christian leaders must understand what is going on today in the spirit and share this revelation with the people of God.

Doctrine from the mouth of the false prophet - The message: Jesus Christ is not the Son of God is from the mouth of the false prophet. However, words from the mouth of the false prophet are not limited to this falsehood. Words from the false prophet present conclusions contrary to the word of God - For example going to war with Iraq - the false prophet exclaimed to go to war and there will be a quick victory and the people and Iraq will bless and hug you because they will be liberated. However, in Zechariah chapter 5, God showed Zechariah that the whole earth had been covered with a cruse. Thus God showed Zechariah the United States and the United Kingdom planting wickedness in Iraq to be the resemblance of them. Did you know that God looks at democracies around the world as wickedness? Surely, this is not smooth talk; however this is the word of God. Read Zechariah chapter five and then read the article on this site titled: "Revelation of the Middle East Crisis" to observe the revelation unfold before your eyes.

Jesus says, "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." (Revelation 16:15) Some people do not know that they are naked and desire the day of the Lord. Listen to what Amos says about this desire. "Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! To what end is it for you? The day of the Lord is darkness, and not light." (Amos 5:18)

Dig Deeper To Discover The Secret Of Winning!

As you know everyone loves a winner and winning can definitely make you feel great. You may have read a lot about the secrets of winning and the strategies that winners use. Whether it is winning a physical challenge like a race or some sport or whether it is winning a game of intellect like rummy, there is no secret formula for winning.

The best formula for winning would be considered as follows:

The right aptitude - 20% The right attitude - 20% Hard work - 35% Determination - 25%

As you can see this is just a simple formula that reflects on the main ingredients that make up a success. These are not the final analysis, only an assumption from study of the profile of many winners. In a game like rummy, winning is probably what motivates the player to strive to play more. Especially when Indian rummy games are played for cash, the motivation to win increases.

The key to winning in rummy as with many aspects of life can be effectively divided into two parts. The first part of this is knowing what your personality type is and second is picking out the strategy that fits in with your personality type.

Broadly speaking, gaming personalities or for that matter most personalities can be divided into the following categories:

Aggressive and daring: This sort of personality faces any situation head on and likes to take risks. Which means the chances of winning high profits are equal to making big losses. This sort of person is into high risks and high rewards. The game strategy suitable for this type of personality would definitely have to aggressive but maybe with a little bit of caution at very risky moments. Positive but cautious: This type of personality will often work towards a goal with an optimistic attitude though with a realistic outlook. This person would like huge profits or rewards but would also like to have an exit door if things go wrong. The plan for this personality would be study the risks thoroughly before proceeding. Slow, steady and calculative: This personality would probably be more likely to have numerous, steady but really quiet victories. As this person delves into details and then proceeds with anything. The rummy winning strategy for this type of personality would be probably to start taking more calculated risks, increasing possibility of better returns. Pessimistic and good at planning: This sort of personality though good at planning will probably not have good results due to excess caution and negativity. To overcome this flaw and to capitalize on the inherent advantage of being good at laying out plans, the strategy for this type of personality would be to step forward, be assertive and start taking some risks.

To be successful at analyzing oneself, you need to make sure of the following:

Deciding at What Age to Give Your Child Their Own Cell Phone

Deciding at what age to get your child a cell phone is a decidedly 21st century parenting conundrum. I originally started writing this article with the full intention of doing the research for you and boiling it down to a simple number. That isn't going to happen. I can't make your decision for you. Every kid is different, every family is different. What I can do is present you with some information to make your decision an informed, and hopefully easier one.

What's everybody else doing?

Let's start with some numbers from a 2011 study conducted by Elizabeth Englander at Bridgewater State University. A surprisingly high 20% of eight year olds own their own phones according to the study. For 10 year olds the number climbs to 39% and dramatically to 83% for middle school kids. This study did not differentiate smart phones from other devices. It's also worth noting that this study was conducted among 20,000 children in Massachusetts. The difference between smart and dumb phones was not considered in this study. A recent SodaHead poll of 1,066 parents however, found 66% believing smart phones should be kept out of a child's hands until their 16th birthday.

Issues to consider:

It's important to know what kind of issues you need to thinking about when making the decision for your own kids. I found an article from Kevin Mercadante at parentingfamilymoney.com that did a great job of listing some of things you should be thinking about. Kevin decided to broke it down into a simple pro and con list that makes a lot of sense. Remember, this article is about giving you the best information to make this decision yourself.

reasons to wait...

Expense. A clearly important factor. There are ways to moderate it through different phones and plans, however the best conceived ideas combining kids, cell phones and saving money are at best a tough balancing act. Take a prepaid plan with limited minutes, and the child can have them used up before he ever has a need to call you. I've known people who have taken prepaid or very limited plans, only to convert them to something more generous a few months later. They're kids, so we have to have flexibility built into any plan, and that will cost extra.

Cell phones aren't toys. As a rule kids tend to be casual about their possessions and instilling a sense of responsibility can be a challenge. The younger they are, the more difficult this will be. But to a child under ten just about anything is a toy. Not only will they drop it, toss it and play catch with it but they'll find a way to use it for everything but its intended purpose.

Distraction. The younger children are the more easily they get distracted. And while they already have plenty of distractions in their lives, cell phones add an extra dimension: they're portable! Not only will your child be distracted when sitting in front of the TV or computer, but his phone will be a constant traveling companion that will keep him occupied when he should be doing other things.

Theft and loss. We all lose things, we all have items stolen from us. But like it or not, kids lose them quicker, and seem to live in a world crawling with sticky-fingered peers. Yes, there are insurance plans to help cover this, but a child can test the limits of just about any plan you have. The younger your kids are, the more likely they are to lose their phones, or have them stolen. This is a strong argument against providing phones for very young children.

Proper use. Now that cellphones are so common, they've also become an issue in school. Use of cellphones in school is usually handled by confiscation. At my kids' schools, they can retrieve the phones at the end of the day on a first offense, and after that only the parent can get them back. The younger the child, the more trips you'll need to make to the front office to retrieve a confiscated phone. I'm certain detentions are meted out after a certain number of confiscations. The point is, your child needs to be able to comprehend and apply proper judgment on when and where to use his phone.

reasons not to wait...

Keeping tabs on them. As each year passes in a child's life they venture farther from home and for longer periods of time. As normal as this may be, as parents we still need to know where they are, especially when they're young. Cell phones are a critical way of maintaining a connection when kids out of sight.

Safety and emergencies. It should be enough that cellphones can give you immediate contact with your children in a crisis, but they do even more. If you have young children and you've ever taken them to Disney World you'll appreciate this point quickly. No matter how careful you are, kids have a way of getting separated from their parents, especially in crowded places. But if they have cell phones you'll be able to find them quickly, and just as important, it will eliminate the panic that can set in when they disappear. Ever since we got cell phones for our kids, trips to the park, the mall and yes, even Disney World, aren't nearly as scary.

Social factors. This shouldn't be a factor, but it's a major consideration for your child. As kids are getting cell phones at increasingly earlier ages, social factors become real. No child wants to be one of only three kids in her class who doesn't have a cell phone. And worse, those cell phones "need" to be of a certain type, and carry socially desirable features to make the cut. Like it or not, the social component will be a factor in your cell phone choice sooner or later. My guess is sooner...

Health Concerns

You may have heard stories about a radiation risk from wireless devices. I always assumed this wasn't much of a concern, but what do the experts say? The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission asking the commission to reconsider it's radiation standards for children. AAP President Dr. Robert Block, wrote that children "are not little adults and are disproportionately impacted by all environmental exposures, including cell phone radiation." The National Cancer Institute's website includes this message on the issue: "in theory, children have the potential to be at greater risk than adults for developing brain cancer from cell phones." Of course children aren't going to be spending much time with a cell phone pressed to the side of their heads, they'd rather be texting.

Some parents have expressed worries over eye strain and even long term eye damage. The AAP doesn't seem very concerned about the issue. "Probably much ado about nothing,' said the chair of their ophthalmology section, Dr. James Ruben. There infact seems to be little evidence of any increase in vision problems related to cell phone use among children and young adults.

So now what?

I'm not an expert or a parent of a 'tween' but this is my article, so forget what I said in the first paragraph. You're getting a number. I think most 6th graders are ready for a phone, though I'd limit them to a non smartphone. From what I understand, it's pretty common for parents to show up at 5th graduations with phones for their newly minted 'tweens.' I think this makes a lot of sense. And if we are giving phones away at graduation, I'd save the smartphone for middle school graduation.
